El Dr. Carroll Rodas, quien celebra su herencia guatemalteca y norteamericana, se unió a la facultad del Seminario de Denver en 1996 y actualmente es Profesor Distinguido del Antiguo Testamento. Está afiliado a la Sociedad de Teología Evangélica, Instituto de Investigación Bíblica, Sociedad de Literatura Bíblica, Sociedad para el Estudio del Antiguo Testamento (Gran Bretaña), Fraternidad Teológica Latinoamericana y Evangélicos para la Acción Social. Es miembro de los consejos editoriales internacionales de Religión y Teología (Sudáfrica) y DavarLogos (Argentina) y es editor colaborador de Prism (la revista Evangélicos para la Acción Social), así como consultor editorial de Ex Auditu.
El Dr. Carroll obtuvo un doctorado de la Universidad de Sheffield, Inglaterra, una Th.M., del Seminario Teológico de Dallas y una licenciatura de la Universidad de Rice. Antes de su nombramiento en el Seminario de Denver, fue profesor de Antiguo Testamento y ética, y director de estudios de posgrado en El Seminario Teológico Centroamericano en la ciudad de Guatemala, donde sigue siendo profesor adjunto. El Dr. Carroll también mantiene conexiones con la educación teológica latinoamericana a través de su participación continua en la comisión de acreditación de AETAL (Asociación Evangélica de Educación Teológica en América Latina). Fue participe en el establecimiento de IDEAL (Instituto para el Desarrollo y Adiestramiento de Líderes), un programa de capacitación en español en el Seminario de Denver, y enseña regularmente en ese programa. Además, es miembro de la junta directiva de la Conferencia Nacional de Liderazgo Cristiano Hispano (NHCLC, por sus siglas en inglés), que es el brazo hispano de la Asociación Nacional de Evangélicos, y actúa como su vocero nacional sobre inmigración.
